A night of mind, brain, and magic. The Amygdaloids will play several suites of our original songs on mind/brain topics: the mind-body problem, memory, emotion, unconscious processes, and mental disorders. Each suite will be preceded by a short (3 min) lecture on the scientific or philosophical foundations of the topic by Neuroscientist and Amygdaloid, Joseph LeDoux. During a brief intermission, the internationally acclaimed magician, Mark Mitton, will dazzle you with mind-bending and brain-twisting tricks of his trade. Tickets can be purchased online at nypsi.org and will also be available at the door. Doors open 6:15pm.
Admission: $10 (without drink tickets); $17 (tickets for 2 beers or glasses of wine)
All Helix Center events are free and open to the public, including this one!
Roundtables are streamed live our website and the recording remains available after the event events.
